How I’ll Make $1K From Secondhand Stuff 🤝
and sharing step by step income and costs
If you’re new here, we turn $1 into thousands building these weird but simple side hustles. Welcome to Ghost Business 👻 Your (mostly) weekly email

I’m going to start every email with an ad 👇 … (please click it — my dogs rent depends on this 🐶 )
This tech company grew 32,481%...
No, it's not Nvidia... It's Mode Mobile, 2023’s fastest-growing software company according to Deloitte.
Just as Uber turned vehicles into income-generating assets, Mode is turning smartphones into an easy passive income source, already helping 45M+ users earn $325M+ through simple, everyday use.
They’ve just been granted their stock ticker by the Nasdaq, and you can still invest in their pre-IPO offering at just $0.26/share.
*Mode Mobile recently received their ticker reservation with Nasdaq ($MODE), indicating an intent to IPO in the next 24 months. An intent to IPO is no guarantee that an actual IPO will occur.
*The Deloitte rankings are based on submitted applications and public company database research, with winners selected based on their fiscal-year revenue growth percentage over a three-year period.
*Please read the offering circular and related risks at invest.modemobile.com.
👆 this is that ad to click, remember??
TLDR;
find used stuff from urgent sellers for under $10 or cheap
clean it up, take good pics, catchy description
sell for used retail pricing
earn $1k in a month
Turning Trash Into Cash: How I’ll Make $1K From Secondhand Scores
Okay, the most common question or comment I see online for Sidehustlers is "I need to make $1000 by the end of the month, what should I do?"
I give folks the same advice every. single. time…
Go on OfferUp, FB Marketplace, etc
Search “Free” “Moving” or “Divorce”
Find items (small furniture, office stuff, etc) at huge discount (or free)
Clean/touch up item, take high quality photos, add witty caption (thanks ChatGPT)
Repost for actual value
That’s it! But they don’t listen. So by April 29th (the next 4 emails to you) you’ll see exactly how I’ll do this. I’ll breakdown my costs, screenshot my posts and show my revenue.
By the end of this mini series, you’ll be a certified side hustler that can ALWAYS have a source of income no matter your job or timeline.

How I’ll do this
Find the goods:
I’ll go on second hand apps; OfferUp, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace.
Apply filters: <10mi, Free, “Furniture”, “Outdoor Furniture”, “Office”, New or Open box
Inquire about availability and condition
Here are some that are available to me RIGHT NOW

I should easily be able to make $50-$100 selling these alone!
Initial Expenses:
As you can see these are pretty much free… But overall I won’t spend more than $100 on this endeavor (gas included).
Total Initial Investment: Approximately $100

Building to $1,000 this Month
It’s easier for me to work backwards… So I’ll have to make ~$250 a week to get to my goal.
If I find on average $50 profit for every item, I’ll have to do about 5 items a week, with a goal of 3-4 on the weekends and 1-2 on week days (working man).
Next week, I’ll report back on how this is going - pros, cons and everything in between!
(As usual each business will have it’s own setbacks, and it’s all about the execution and consistency rather than just having the idea)
It’s a great day to be great!
Love, Mike 👋
