Nurse Hustle

Nurse will see you… I had to try this. It was September 2021. It was my birthday weekend. I heard tale of mobile IVs for folks in Vegas and wanted to see for myself. I booked a mobile IV home visit for myself and a group of friends during a 3 day music festival in the desert.

I guess I should define what Mobile IV Therapy is: “IV therapy is a method of inserting fluids directly into veins that often provides immediate hydration and relief for a range of conditions”

Anyways, the nurse came in and got to work, hooked us all up to a drip and added essential vitamins. I had to ask about the financials of the business. She mentioned this side hustle nets her 3x more than any hospital work and is 10x easier because you mainly get to hangout with hungover people in nice houses.

The more I thought about it, the more I liked it. Nurses could always use a more relaxed income from the high stress of health care. The world is warming up and staying hydrated is necessary. Finally, the life longevity movement is very trendy right now and this is a sure fire way to hop on the band wagon.

So I had to find out, how much can these mobile IV businesses make and how much would it cost to build this myself.

The MVP (Getting your first customer)

Insurance anyone?… This is no typical MVP, to operate this legally you’ll need:

• to obtain permits and licenses from your local city, state, and federal governments

• to obtain a business license

• Insurance

• have an RN license

• be a registered HCO (Healthcare organization)

Okay, that’s a lot. But this is the bulk of your overhead expenses in the $5k-$10k range.

But how would we get our first customer?

• Co-workers (they like to party)

• Friends and families (also like to party)

• Intro offer for new folks (offer at price service)

Getting Your Next 100 Customers

Code green… Getting your next 100 customers should be straight forward in this hustle.

Reach out to partner with clubs, breweries, music festivals, work places, etc. anywhere someone could get a hangover in your area. Offer their customers small discounts and vice versa.

Then create another branch of your business targeted towards longevity. I would be partnering with fitness clubs, yoga studios, wellness brands etc. Use big words like comprehensive, diagnostic, and optimization.

Feeling younger already 👶🏽

How much can we make doing this?

• The average cost per person is $50 (drip lines, bags, liquid iv, vitamins, etc)

• The average charge per person is $150 ($100 in profit 😎)

• Lets say you can book 4 people a day, 3 days a week (12 total/week)

• That’s $1200 a week or $4800/mo

The End Goal

Business or pleasure… Ideally you’ll have two streams of income for this hustle. The Business (longevity, wellness, etc) and The Pleasure (hungover, partiers, etc). You then partner with companies in their respective streams.

THEN you copy this model in multiple states with the goal of reaching 100 customers per day. Which would be $15k in revenue, per day 🤯 

Viability:

1 [building spaceships] 🚀 to 5 [easy peasy] 😊 

Costs money to feel this good, this hustle is very tough to get into. You either:

• gotta be a nurse

• gotta know a nurse

And if you know a nurse, you’ll know they already work insane hours and may be hesitant to start a business with you.

But once you get the credentials and get started, there’s a lot of money to be made!

(As usual each business will have it’s own setbacks, and it’s all about the execution and consistency rather than just having the idea 😉)
